2009 is the Year of HOPE and Completion...

"...What you focus on expands and what you resist persists..."

A recent local newspaper article reports "The U.S economy, in recession since December of 2007 is buckling under the heavy burden of rising unemployment. Data released Thursday showed jobless numbers rose to record high in early February of 4.99 million, a rate of 3.7 percent. Washington has put forward an array of measures, including a $787- Billion stimulus package to revive the bleeding economy."

Talk of fear of the economic climate has been in the news now for a while. You hear about it everywhere you go. Yes, this is part of reality however it is not something that we have to focus on. Solutions and ways of overcoming the issue should be the focus of our attention. People loose their perspective so easily and get caught in the grips of gloom and doom - fear. There are still so many opportunities out there today to accomplish your goals, you just have to look for them and find them.

There is a lot of optomism in the air with President Obama. What is striking about this man though is his unwavering hope for the future and positive attitude in spite of all that is going on around him. In spite of all the economic woes and fears that are surrounding his coming in to power he seems to be able to keep a very realistic but positive perspective. His message from the beginning has been a message of hope and progress and continues to be that way.

Each of us can do the same about our own lives and our perspective of what is happening in the world today. Yes, those numbers of unemployment are real and they represent individual lives and dreams. They are real people who are facing difficult times. If you're in that situation right now and you are discouraged that is understandable. However you have to keep perspective and focus on finding solutions. Think outside of the box and get out of your comfort zone.

It is human nature to worry and focus on problems. That part comes very easily and naturally to everyone. What is a challenge is for us to focus on finding solutions. It is a challenge to keep a balanced perspective. Despite the unemployment rates... Canada and U.S are still one of the greatest places to live in the world today. We're still living in a free country where there are more opportunities for growth and learning than anywhere else in the world. We live in a country where there is peace and clean water... and we're considered the top 10% of the elite of the world regardless of recession or no recession.

We still have more opportunities in our lives than most people in the world today. We just have to be willing to look for them and work for them. I am truly thankful to be living in a free country at this time. I'm thankful for the opportunity I have to learn and grow. I'm thankful that I am able to build a home based business at this time. This is something that also allows me to help others who are interested to take control of their financial future and their lives. In the end I feel like I'm not afraid to move forward in my life and in my future because my focus today is on prosperity and changing my life and the life of other people.
